Dopravní podnik hl. města Prahy zabezpečuje dopravu v Prahe. V ponuke sú autobusy, električky, metro, vlaky, ktoré jazdia v intervaloch vyhovujúcich snáď každému. Musím uznať, že doprava je naozaj kvalitná. Pomerne nové metro električky a autobusy zabezpečujú komfortné cestovanie. Tiež orientácia je veľmi jednoduchá, takže aj ľudia so slabšou orientáciou sa dostanú kam chcú 
.
Na každej zastávke nájdete štandardne poraiadok o príchodoch daných liniek, takisto v staniciach metra sú umiestnené na informačných tabuliach. Metro je rozdelené na 3 rôzne linky: A- označené zelenou farbou a ide zo stanice Depo Hostivař a končí v stanici Dejvická B - označené žltou farbou, a jeho trasa je zo Zličína na Černý most C - zatiaľ najnovšie, označené červnou frbou a jazdí medzi stanicami Letňany až po Háje Stanica Florenc je prestupnou stanicou z trasy C na B alebo opačne a Můstek, kde je možný prestup medzi trasami A a B. Dobrou správou je, že Praha sa snaží výjsť v ústrety telesne postihnutým a mnohé stanice metra a autobusy sú vybavené bezbarierovým prístupom.
Lístky si môžte zakúpiť v žltých automatoch, na predajných miestach staníc metra alebo zaslaním SMS správy(tvar: DPT na č. 902 06 a je to na 90min za 26kč+cena sms)
Ceny lístkov (odporúčam si ich kupovať, pretože revízori veľmi s obľubou kontrolujú, obzvlášť turistov:) ) . Od 1.7.2011 sa však plánujú zmeny cien lístkov, tzv."tramvajenek".
Ešte také menšie odporúčanie, keď pôjdete po eskalátoroch v metre, stojí sa vždy po pravej strane, aby tí rýchlejší alebo tí, čo sa ponáhľajú mohli prejsť.

Nezabudnite tiež, že v Prahe sa dá využívať aj lodná doprava v podobe výletov na lodi, letecká a aj lanovka na Petřín.
